摘要
通过将元话语理论运用于大学英语阅读教学证明:作为组织话语,引导读者理解语篇和作者观点的元话语理论知识,可以显著提高学生的阅读理解能力,但对于不同阅读水平的学生其作用并不一致。元话语对中、低水平组学生阅读能力的提高非常显著,且低水平组学生获益最大,而对高水平组学生阅读能力的影响并不显著。
It has been proved the application of metadiscourse, considered as various language devices that can assist to organize the discourse andexpress the author5 s attitude toward the text and the reader, in college English reading teaching can improve student‘s reading ability significantly but the influence on students with different reading proficiency levels are very different. The effect on the students with low and intermediate reading ability is significant and the students with low reading proficiency have a much higher improvement.The enhancement of students with high reading proficiency level is not significant.
