As one of Eileen Chang’s favorite writers, Aldous Leonard Huxley has some influence on her, and they areundoubtedly related to each other, which however has not been discussed specifically in academia up to now. Thepresent essay believes that Huxley’s scepticism and inquiry about life impresses Eileen Chang most, and that differentunderstanding about skeptical orientation causes distance between them. Besides, the cold writing and materializedstyle in Huxley’s works also strengthens Eileen Chang’s sense of art and increases the attraction of her works.
