Panax notoginseng saponins is the main active ingredient of Sanqi which can promote blood circulation to remove bloodstasis. Right now, a review on present application of the promoting blood circulation and controlling bleeding roles was summarized, inorder to provide the basis for clinical application and further research of Sanqi.
