The Institute of Political Science of Baoshan University has made some practical explorations on the basic path of transition and development.This exploration show that:A clear goals and content is the logical starting point to promote the transformation and development of local universities;enhancing the ability of social service is an important cornerstone to promote the transformation and development of local universities;strengthening the construction of practical teaching platform is the strong support to promote the transformation and development of local universities;constructing the system of production,study and research is the basic guarantee to promote the transformation and development of local universities.
