A Comparison between Jin Dynasty's Jurchen Language and Modern Manchu Language

满族脱胎于明末东北的女真族,将金代、明代遗存的女真文字资料与现代的满语文进行语言对比,从语音系统、符号系统、词汇系统和语法系统四个方面论述二者之间的传承关系,证明了满语确实源于古女真语,是古女真语的再生与延续。

Manchu, as an ethnic group originated from the northeast Jurchen people in the end of Ming Dynasty. The linguistic comparison between the Jurchen language material from Jin and Ming Dynasty and the modern Manchu language, together with the discussion about the inheriting relationship in the four aspects of phonetic system, symbolic system, lexical system and grammar system have proved that Manchu language virtually originated from ancient Jurchen language, and is the rebirth and continuation of the later.
