唐代宗与神策军之兴起

Emperor Dai Zong of Tang Dynasty and the Rise of the Shence Army

安史之乱后,唐朝走向衰落,河朔藩镇逐渐形成尾大不掉之势,京师长安更是面对吐蕃进攻的威胁。神策军因扈从代宗之功,从地方边军一跃成为中央禁军。在唐代宗的努力推动下,神策军吸收、收编其他方镇精锐兵将,在大历年间基本形成从长安到京畿地区的布防格局,并逐渐成为中央禁军与地方野战军混合的特殊队伍,亦成为维持京师稳定、捍卫中央皇权的绝对军事力量。

After the An-shi Rebellion, the Tang Dynasty gradually declined. The local military governments in Heshuo area did not obey the central government’s decree gradually. Changan was facing the threat of attack from Tibet. Due to the contribution of protecting Emperor Dai Zong, the Shence Army became a central guard troop from a local border army. Under the efforts of Dai Zong, the Shence Army incorporated the elite soldiers from different local regions and roughly formed the deployment pattern from Changan to the capital area in Dali period, and became a special troop combining central guards and local field army. It also became a strong military force to maintain the capital’s stability and defend the central imperial power.
