"学而优则仕"和"美德即知识"分别是孔子和苏格拉底教育思想的重要组成部分,研究者们对其研究视角多元,解读不一。"学而优则仕""美德即知识"在教育目的上都讲求以德为根、德性为先,在教育过程中都注重启发诱导、动态生成,但在教学方法上却呈现出演绎与归纳的分野。"学而优则仕""美德即知识"对当代教育具有积极的启示意义。
Confucius’ view of “He who excels in study can follow an offi cial career” and Socrates’ view of “Virtue is knowledge” are the important components of their educational ideology, which have been studied from different angles with various interpretations. As for educational objectives, both emphasize morality as the root and the priority, and as far as the process of education is concerned, both underline heuristic guidance and dynamic generation.
