The construction of Shanghai International Shipping Center has entered a critical period, but the development of Shanghai port sea rail transport is lagging behind. The mutual separation between port facilities and station's has become a short board of port transportation system. Under the background of national strategy of 'One Belt and One Road' and the Yangtze River economic belt, Ningbo Zhoushan port, Lianyung Port, Dalian Port and other coastal ports are having rapid developments of sea-rail multimodal transporting. According to the development situation of Shanghai Port sea-rail multimodal transport, the paper analyzes its main problems, explores the necessity of sea-rail multimodal transport development and puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions to promote the development of sea-rail multimodal transport, hoping to provide reference for the development of Shanghai port sea-rail transport.
