On the Original Relationship between Long March of Red Army and Zunyi Normal College

红军长征时期,遵义师范学院时名为贵州省立第三中学。红军长征进入遵义之前学校具有光荣的革命传统。红军长征进入遵义后,遵义师范学院的师生参加红军之友社,为党和红军宣传群众、组织群众;帮助红军筹款,参与打土豪等群众斗争;组织迎接中央军委纵队进驻遵义城;中央红军在学校旧址操场召开万人大会及遵义战役祝捷大会,会后,红军指战员与三中学生进行篮球比赛;党和红军爱护关怀省立三中教师;遵义省立三中师生受红军影响,救护红军,或者走上革命道路。当前,遵义师范学院正传承红色基因,弘扬长征精神,继往开来,努力建设西部有特色有影响的地方本科高校。

In the period of Long March, Zunyi Normal College was named as No. 3 Middle School of Guizhou, which had a glorious revolutionary tradition before 1935. After Red Army went through Zunyi, students and teachers fromZunyi Normal College participated in the society of Red Army’s good Friend. They helped Party and Red Army do propaganda work among the masses and organize the masses, helped Red Army raise funds, participated in the struggle against local tyrants and greeted the Central Column Army to be stationed in Zunyi. The Central Red Army held a meeting with more than ten thousand men joining in it and victory celebration about Zunyi Battle in the formal site of Zunyi Normal College; after the meeting, the red army commanders held a basketball race with the students and teachers in this school. The party and Red Army showed their solicitude towards the teachers of this school. Moved by Red Army,some students and teachers saved or protected or even joined Red Army. Nowadays, Zunyi Normal College inherits the red tradition and promotes the Long March spirit, which encourages the school to build itself into an influential college in west China.
