摘要
It is now well accepted that ionizing radiation (IR) induces DNA damage responses in cells that are not hit directly by IR[1]. The irradiated cells are capable of transmitting signals into the neighboring cells through gap junction and/or culture medium, resulting in a series of biological responses in non-irradiated cells. These responses are termed as radiation induced bystander effects (RIBE), which have been identified both in vitro and in vivo[2].
