初等教育学作为新兴的二级学科,其学科建设才刚刚起步。要搭建初等教育学这栋"学科大厦",首先必须厘清其逻辑起点,这是构建初等教育学学科大厦的基石。逻辑起点蕴含在研究对象的本质属性之中,且必须遵循逻辑起点的质性规定。初等教育学的逻辑起点从教育学的逻辑起点发轫,肇始于教育学但又有其特殊性。"小学教育活动"是初等教育学的研究对象,"养育小学儿童生命"是小学教育活动的本质属性。"养育"是小学教育活动本质属性中的关键概念,符合逻辑起点的质性规定,可以担当起初等教育学逻辑起点的"重任"。
