摘要
The spallation target coupling accelerator and subcritical reactor produces is key component of ADS[1??2]. TheLBE spallation target with window is popular because of its feasibility in last decades, but the target windowmaterial should bear beam radiations and liquid metal corrosions. A detailed study for the flow field of the targetconducted in an approximately 1:1 sized window spallation target model was carried out by visualization experimentsand numerical simulation. Water was used as the working fluid in the experiment. The flow pattern insidethe spallation area is visualized by means of the particle image velocimetry (PIV). The flow range of the presentexperiment is between 8.3 to 20 m3/h, several typical flow patterns were observed.
