The post-structuralist Jacques Derrida raised the concept of“decentering”,aiming to deconstruct the binary opposition in metaphysics,to insist on the undecidable meaning of a text, and to emphasize the role of the reader in the production of the textual meaning.Based on a post-structuralist literary analysis, the essay interprets the duality of the heroine Nina in the American film Black Swan from three aspects:the combination of the angel and the monster, the self-transcendence in reality and fancy, the sublimation of love and hatred in mother-daughter relationship,to deconstruct the binary opposition of black and white,to demonstrate the constructiveness of metaphysical binary oppositions, and to make possible discourse beyond the black-white opposition.
