大学精神：一流大学永恒的底色

The Spirit of University: the Eternal Grounding of the World-class Universities

追溯大学发展的历史,可以发现大学精神随着大学职能的增多日渐丰富,并渗入到大学的肌体,成为大学的文化基因和独特的精神标识。自治、创新、自由、开放等精神品质是当今世界一流大学的底色。虽然由于历史的、环境的原因,这几种品质在不同大学中的排列与组合不一样,但大学精神仍然是引领大学发展、规制师生行为,推动大学不断向前而不异化为其他机构的重要力量。要让大学精神成为中国大学,尤其是一流大学的底色,必须正确处理好人才培养、科学研究和社会服务的关系,遵循大学发展的自身逻辑,将大学精神内化为师生的自觉理念,外化为制度、规范,并使上述成为师生的基本遵循。

This article traces the history of university,and concludes that the spirits of university are getting more and more rich with the increase of the university function,and the spirits of university permeate into the organism of university,and become its cultural gene and spiritual identification.Autonomy,creativity,freedom and openness etc.are the eternal groundings of world-class universities.Because of different histories and surroundings,these spirits have different combinations in different universities,but the spirits are the important powers which play leading roles in the development of universities and the adjustment of students and teachers'behavior,and also prevent universities turn into other institutions.If the spirits of university become eternal grounding of university,the following conditions should be obeyed:dealing properly with the relationship of teaching,scientific research and social service;following the logic of university development;transforming spirits of university into ideal and basic principles for students and teachers,and into institutions and norms of university.
