Oxygen saturation is an important physiological parameter reflecting the function of respiration and circulation,which has been widely used in clinical monitoring and health caring.The paper analyzed the main contents of the pharmaceutical industry standard YY0784-2010through introduced the major technical parameters and electromagnetic compatibility characters.The development of the international standards of pulse oximeter was also reviewed.Finally,we discussed the importance of the industry standards on the reliability and safety of pulse oximeters.
