This paper introduces the relationship between smart city and geographic information,analyses the status and existing problems of surveying,mapping and geographic information resources services in Shanghai,discusses the new requirements on geographic information services for the construction of smart city,and puts forward some strategy and thinking about how to meet with the new demand for surveying and geographic information service.
