An Analysis of Mutual Lending Services of Readers

纸质图书必须到固定场馆借阅的传统借阅方式和制度,在互联网、移动通信、人工智能等新技术冲击下的今天,已经跟不上读者升级换代的阅读需求。文章探讨一种新型图书外借制度:升级图书借还管理系统和图书借还管理制度,给读者放权,让读者可以借书给读者。这种新型图书借阅制度的优势在于:节约读者的时间、解决读者的不便、促进读者之间知识共享、促进传统图书馆业务优化升级。

The traditional lending service t hat printed books must be bought at fi xed locations can no longer satisfyreaders’upgrading demands today when challenged by new technologies such as the Internet,mobile communication andartificial intelligence.This paper proposes a new book lending policy:to upgrade book lending and return managementsystems and regulations,and empower readers so that they can borrow books from each other.This policy has theadvantages of saving readers’time,reducing inconveniences to them,promoting knowledge sharing among them andaccelerating upgrade of traditional library services.
