In Elizabethan period,seven"university wits",who absorbed the Greek and Roman dramaticversification,established the British tragedy and comedy by incorporating Chaucer's realism tradition,and also hadan important impact on Shakespeare's creation.Shakespeare created famous histories,tragedies,comedies,romantic and tragicomedies,which enriched the types of British drama and made an important contribution to thedevelopment of English language.
