As a highly applied course,ordinary differential equationsplays an important role in the talent training program of financeand economics universities.How to reflect the financialand economic characteristics of the course in its teaching reformhas become an important issue for educators.By analyzing thepresent situation and the challenge of ordinary differential equationscourse,the writer learnt that the course is faced with theunreasonable proportion of the course content,the weak practicalityand the indistinct financial and economic characteristics ofthe course.Concerning the adjustment of teaching content andthe diversification of teaching methods,some suggestions andideas are given to explore the teaching reform of ordinary differentialequations,and to contribute to cultivating innovative financialand economic talents.
