萝卜新品种京红5号的选育

A New Radish F_1 Hybrid —‘Jinghong No.5'

京红5号是以雄性不育系RA17为母本,以自交系R17-2为父本配制而成的萝卜一代杂种。属中型秋红萝卜新品种。生长期80~85 d(天),平展株型,花叶,叶色浅绿,叶片短小,叶数少,适合密植。根形圆正,皮色鲜红,表皮光滑,横纹少;小顶小根,商品性状优良。根长12 cm,直径13 cm,平均单根质量1.3 kg左右。平均每667 m2产量5 000 kg左右。田间抗病毒病和软腐病能力强于对照小顶红,适合在东北、华北地区秋季栽培。

‘Jinghong No.5’is a new radish F1hybrid bred by crossing cytoplasmic male sterile line‘RA17’as female parent with male fertile line‘R17-2’as male parent.It is new autumn red radish variety of middle type.It takes80-85days from sowing to maturity.The plant is of outspreading type with less leaf number.Its leavesare short and light green in color,and suited to close planting.Its root is of round shape,12cm in length and13cm in diameter.The average single root weight is about1.3kg.The root surface color is bright red and its peel issmooth without band.The diameter of the rosette base is small and the tail root is thin.Its commercial characteris super.It can yield about75t·hm-2.It has stronger resistance to virus disease and soft rot than the contrast‘Xiaodinghong’.It is suitable for autumn cultivation in the northeast and northern China.
