Inkjet Printing of Surfactant Solutions to Prototype Microchannels on Microfluidic Paper-Based Analytical Devices

摘要 发展了一种基于喷墨打印技术加工纸芯片的方法.滤纸先经十八烷基三甲氧基硅烷处理后呈疏水性,以表面活性剂Triton X-100溶液为打印液,用廉价喷墨打印机将其打印至疏水纸上.打印区呈亲水性,非打印区维持其疏水性.该方法可用于纸芯片的大批量加工,具有成本低廉、制备快速等特点. Surfactant solutions were used to prototype microfluidic paper-based analytical devices(μPADs)by a low-cost inkjet printing strategy.The native hydrophilic filter paper became hydrophobic by using trimethoxyoctadecylsilane-heptane solution to modify the cellulose.Triton X-100solution was printed onto the hydrophobic filter paper to generate the hydrophilic-hydrophobic contrast.The printed areas became hydrophilic while the unprinted areas maintained hydrophobic.This method could be used to fabricateμPADs with simplicity,low cost and high speed.
