History and Future of the Juvenile Class in China

少年班始于20世纪70年代末,伴随着思想解放和改革开放的浪潮,是我国在高等教育领域为培养科技创新和领军人才而探索的一种针对早慧少年的特殊教育形式。经过近四十年的风雨历程,如今只剩下中国科学技术大学和西安交通大学两所高校仍然在坚持少年班的办学,面对褒贬不一的评价和持续不断的争议,这两所高校通过不断地探索改革给社会打造出了一个基础教育和高等教育独具特色的衔接方式。

The juvenile class began in the late1970s.With thedevelopment of thought liberation and reform and opening up,itis a kind of special education form to cultivate innovative talentsof science and technology for precocious youth in the field ofhigher education.After nearly forty years of wind and rain,andnow only the University of Science and Technology of China andXi'an Jiaotong University still adhere to running the juvenileclass.In the face of mixed evaluation and continuous controversy,the two universities created a special bridge between basic educationand higher education through constantly exploring.
