A Typical Case Analysis of Career Guidance

针对一名研三学生在职业定位、毕业去向(继续读博还是直接就业)方面遇到的疑惑,进行职业生涯规划指导。采用非正式评估与正式评估相结合的方式,协助来访者进行兴趣、性格、价值观等职业倾向的自我探索,帮助澄清"我喜欢做什么,适合做什么,想做什么"。其次,运用SWOT分析法,协助来访者探析"继续读博还是直接就业更为契合于我的职业定位",进而,针对具体问题制定相应的行动计划,并对案例进行简要分析。

This paper presents a typical case of career planningguidance for a third-year postgraduate student,who was puzzledby her career orientation and future destination after graduation(i.e.,going on pursuing a PhD degree or hunting jobs immediately).Firstly,with a combination of formal and informal evaluation,the visitor was helped1)to conduct self-exploration in,for example,interests,personality and values;2)to clarify"what do I loveto do/what is suitable for me to do/what do I want to do".Secondly,by using the SWOT method,the visitor was helped to analyzewhether pursuing a PhD degree or direct job hunting fits hercareer orientation more closely.Thirdly,a reasonable action planwas designed for the visitor according to her specific issues.Abrief analysis of this particular case was finally given.
