连通理论与实践的教学模式——《英语教学模式论》述介

摘要 英语教学模式是外语教学中的理论与实践连接的桥梁,为教学实践提供原则框架与典型范例。《英语教学模式论》从知识获取与技能形成上的差异着手,分别探讨了英语教学中的语音、词汇、语法、语篇等陈述性语言知识以及听、说、读、写技能和能力的程序性知识;结合中国基础阶段英语教育的实验和实践经验,提出并阐释了相应的外语教育的理论与实践框架,并辅以中小学的英语课堂实例进行剖析与示范。本文结合相关研究进一步解读该专著在语言加工与表征上的理论探讨以及在英语教学模式上的提炼,以期让更多的一线教师以及研究者能够对其有所了解,并得到教学上的启发。 English language teaching models are the bridges between theories and practice in foreign language teaching and they provide conceptual frameworks that guide classroom teaching.In the book entitled Models of English Language Teaching,Professor Zhang Jianzhong offers an overview of existing and his own theories and guiding principles of foreign language teaching.The discussion was based on a distinction between declarative knowledge and procedural knowledge,the difference between receptive and productive use of language,and practice of English language teaching in the Chinese context.The discussion is accompanied with numerous examples and illustrations from classroom teaching.This review is intended to employ related literature to further illustrate:the theoretical exploration of language processing and representation,and the practical summarization of English teaching approaches,so as to provide an overview of the book for English teachers who we believe have much to benefit from this book.
