A Study of Tian Family in Mayang

元代,田氏从浙江余姚徙至湖南麻阳县,平苗、屯边、开发辰河。后又顺应大明王朝,促进了明朝统一和多民族国家的建立。田氏在麻阳扎根,奠定了以麻阳为中心,逐渐向湘、黔、滇、桂、川、渝、鄂等地迁徙的移民潮,是麻阳移民文化的一个典型。

People of Tian Family went to Mayang of Hunan province from Yuyao of Zhejiang province in Yuan Dynasty to suppress the Miao's rebellions,to cultivate and protect the frontiers,and to develop the areas along Chen River.Later,following the historical trend,they attached themselves to the Ming Dynasty and promoted the unity of China and the construction of country with multiple nationalities.Tian Family took root in Mayang,and,using it as a center,began a immigration to other provinces such as Hunan,Guizhou,Yunnan,Guangxi,Sichuan,Chongqing and Hubei.It is a typical example of Mayang migration culture.
