“Liu Qing Phenomenon”and“Going Deep into Life”

柳青的“皇甫十四年”是当代文学“深入生活”无出其右的典范，但其意义不仅在于他的牺牲精神，更反映了20世纪中国文学生态的变化，即伴随着革命意识形态成为主流和当代文学体制的建立，“深入生活”成为作家带有时代特色的文学之路。“深入生活”并非深奥的理论语言，但它却是政治向文学的凝结物，有着丰富的理论和历史内涵，不但意味着对文学有了另一种评价标准，也意味着文学生产中作家主体地位的后移。知识分子与底层的隔膜使“深入生活”在特定历史条件下有了正当性，而知识分子的底层化也使现代文学具有了一种全新的面貌。但这种传统在后革命时期面临着新的挑战。
