Application of RCA in the management of falls adverse events in geriatric ward

目的:分析老年科住院患者发生跌倒的根本原因,探讨采取防范措施的有效性。方法:对2016年上半年本院老年科病房发生跌倒不良事件的根本原因进行回顾性分析,收集老年科下半年根据跌倒的根本原因实施对策性预防跌倒护理干预后的病例,比较其跌倒的发生率。结果:老年科病房除按照常规综合护理干预措施预防跌倒外,增加根据跌倒根本原因实施对策性预防跌倒护理干预后跌倒的发生率明显有所下降。结论:通过积极、有效地分析住院患者跌倒发生的根本原因,并实施有效的预防跌倒护理干预,有效预防了跌倒不良事件的发生,保障了患者住院期间的安全。

Objective:To analyze the underlying causes of falls in elderly inpatients and to explore the effectiveness of preventive measures.Methods:The fundamental reason for the occurrence of adverse events fall on the first half of2016in our hospital geriatrics department were retrospectively analyzed.In the second half of the year in the geriatric department,the prevention of fall care intervention was carried out according to the underlying causes of falls.We compared the incidence of falls.Results:In addition to routine comprehensive nursing intervention measures to prevent falls,we added the preventive measures for falls were implemented according to the underlying causes of falls,and the incidence of fall was obviously decreased.Conclusion:Through the effective analysis of the cause of the fall for inpatients,and implement effective fall prevention nursing intervention to prevent falls,which can make an effective prevention of fall care adverse events,and ensure the safety of patients during hospitalization.
