一项新的科研发现表明，双语人士在节省脑力方面很有一手。大脑在完成一项任务时要调动多个网络，即根据完成任务所需的不同类型信息流动的通道。加拿大蒙特利尔的一支研究团队对比了单语老人和双语老人脑功能连接的情况。他们认为，多年使用双语让大脑可以集中处理一条信息而不受其他信息干扰，从而改变了大脑完成任务的方式。这样做既高效，又节省脑力。
New research findings[结果]show that bilingual people are great at saving brain power.To do a task,the brain recruits[动员]different networks,or the highways on which different types of information flow,depending on the task to be done.A research team from Montréal,Canada,compared what are known as functional brain connections between seniors who are monolingual[单语人士]and seniors who are bilingual.
