Science and technology museums are an important way and means to carry out science and technology education and science communication.Under the guidance of national policy,scientific research institutes will actively open to the society,or carry out science communication by building science and technology museums based on the combination of their own scientific research advantages.From the necessity and importance of science and technology museum construction by scientific research institutes,this paper focuses on the characteristics of the operation and management of science and technology museums and the factors that affect the development of science and technology museums built by scientific research institutes,and also puts forward the future development of science and technology museums built by scientific research institutes.
