While depicting daily problems and traumatizing events,McEvan deals with the inner worlds ofvarious characters after the terrible events in his unique ways.Besides,McEvan also focuses on their emotionsand difficulties in making unusual ethical choices.This essay adopts the theory of trauma and ethics,coversseveral representative works by McEvan,and tries to analyze the features of characterization,traumatizingevents,traumatized personality in his narration,and,most of all,the ethical reasons behinds all those.
