The Structure of the Three Elements of Space, Earth and Man in Dong Zhongshu's Philosophical System

董仲舒明确提出天、地、人合一的三才结构理论,认为天、地、人三才合一,是天道运行的需要,也是维护国家统治,社会治理的需要。董仲舒认为王道必须将天、地、人贯通,途径有二,一方面,将天道与人道贯通,一方面将地道与天道贯通。

Dong Zhongshu clearly puts forward the theory about the structure of the three elements of space,earth and man,holding that the combination of the three elements is both the need of the operation of space and the need of ruling a country and managing a society.He thinks that benevolent government must combine space,earth and man together,and that there are two ways:one is combining the natural law in space and humanity,and the other is combining the survival law on earth and natural law in space.
