“民主仁学”论

On Democratic Benevolence

吴光先生首倡"民主仁学"。"民主仁学"是新体新用的新儒学形态。其体用论是"民主仁爱为体,礼法科技为用",其文化观是"多元和谐"文化观,其核心价值观是以"仁"为根本之道、以"义礼信和敬"为常用大德的"一道五德"价值观。"民主仁学"在全球化、民主化的世界潮流以及中国和平崛起、儒学复兴的大趋势下,提出了一种既重视道德人文精神又兼融现代民主价值的新儒学思想模式,指示了一个能够深入社会生活与大众理性的儒学发展新方向。民主仁学在当代中国建立民主仁政、提升公民道德境界与人文素质、辅助法治社会的道德正义等领域将起到不可或缺的积极作用。

It was Mr.Wu Guang who advocated“democratic benevolence”,which is a new essential and practical form of Neo-Confucianism.Its view of the essential part and the practical part means“democratic benevolence as the essential part and etiquette technology as the practical part”,its view of culture means“plural harmony”and its view of core value means“one benevolence and five virtues”that takes“benevolence”as the fundamental way and“righteousness,courtesy,honesty,kindness,respect”as common virtues.In the trend of the world globalization and democratization,the peaceful rise of China and the revival of Confucianism,“democratic benevolence”puts forward a new thinking mode of Neo-Confucianism that attaches importance to humanistic spirit of morality and integrates modern democratic value,and points out the new development direction of Confucianism that can take root in the social life and public reason.Democratic benevolence will play an indispensable positive role in building democratic benevolence,promoting the citizens'moral realm and humanistic spirit,and assisting the moral justice in the society ruled by law.
