《诗经·陈风·泽陂》"有蒲与蕳",自《郑笺》和《毛诗正义》起就将"蕳"解作"莲",与前章"有蒲与荷"对应。"莲"是荷实,言女言信实。钱钟书先生认为这是"风人体"的最早运用,这种音义双关的手法是君子诙谐戏谑的常用方式,既能够传达其本身的义理,又很大程度地提高了艺术效果。后世的经、史、小说戏剧这种风人体手法的运用很广,这是对《泽陂》中这一传统的继承。
