The Sense of the Book:Expression of the True Thoughts of Mu Rugai in ShengJing Times

1939年3月10日至11月12日,穆儒丐在《盛京时报》上刊载了长篇散文《随感录》。这部散文以议论为主,通过对中日的多方面比较,得出中国处处不如日本的结论,因此要"以日为师",向日本学习。为了阐述"以日为师"的核心观点,文中还宣扬了"文学无用论",批判了中国近代以来的革命,并对日本倡导的东亚新秩序进行赞美。《随感录》使穆儒丐《盛京时报》时期的真实思想状态得以鲜明体现。

Form March10in1939to December12in1939,Mu Rugai wrote a long essay called The Sense of the Book in the ShengJing Times.This essay focuses on discussion,it compared various aspects of China and Japan,con clude that China is not as good as Japan,so we should learn from Japan.In order to expound the core viewpoint of“learning from Japan”,the article also promoted“the theory of literature is useless”,criticized the revolution of China in modern times,and praised the order in the new eastern Asia advocated by Japan.The Sense of the Book vividly reflects the true state of thought in period of the ShengJing Times.
