“双一流”视域下对现代大学职能的再认识

Re-understanding the Functions of Modern Universities from the Perspective of "Double First-rate"

现代大学的三大职能——人才培养、科学研究和社会服务是大学在社会历史发展过程中不断形成的;是大学由象牙塔走向社会"圆心"的历史道路中不断演化而来的。现代大学的职能既是国家对高等教育事业发展的要求,也是大学自身逻辑存在与发展的要求。在我国党中央、国务院作出建设世界一流大学和一流学科的重大战略部署下,我国现代大学的三大职能也在不断地丰富和完善,大学与社会各界的联系也越来越紧密。因此,在我国大学的改革道路中,以"双一流"的标准对现代大学的三大职能进行再认识,对正确处理好三大职能之间的相互关系,加强我国现代大学与社会的联系,具有重大的现实意义。

The three major functions of a modern university-talent cultivation,scientific research and social service,are constantly formed by the university in the course of social and historical development.It is the continuous evolution of the university from the ivory tower to the center of society.The functions of modern universities are not only the requirements of the state for the development of higher education but also the requirements of the existence and development of universities.Under the major strategic arrangement made by the CPC Central Committee and the State Council in building world-class universities and first-class subjects,the three major functions of modern universities in our country are constantly being enriched and perfected.The connection between universities and social sectors is also getting closer.Therefore,in the reform of our universities,we should re-understand the three functions of modern universities with the standard of"double first-rate",in order to correctly handle the interrelationship between the three major functions,and strengthen the connection between our modern universities and the society.
