This article traced the history of Metropolitan Museum of Art from the19th century to the present and reviewed its founders and collections.With the brief introduction o f the Met's development,this article identified two essential events of the Met-the75th Anniversary and the Centennial Ceremony.The management issues including governance,finance and attendance were discussed in the final part of this article and the details of the2015-2017Setback was revealed.
