作为美术文献艺术中心总监，刘明强调美术文献展的特质在于，不仅更注重文献性与研究性，更强调如同历史文献一样去记录、整理、研究中国当代艺术的一种平实的态度。基于此，文献展致力于成为中国当代艺术发展与其实验精神的见证。

As the director of Art Center of Fine Art Document,Liu Ming stresses that the trait of Documentary Exhibition of Fine Art is not only the emphasis of documentary and investigative nature,but also the emphasis of the plain attitude of recording,arranging and researching Chinese contem porary art like the historic document.Therefore,the documentary exhibition is dedicated to becoming the witness of Chinese contemporary art's experimentalism.
