库切的小说《耻》中女主人公露茜的沉默是研究库切及其作品的一个学术热点。露茜的沉默有三点原因:首先,她在关怀伦理观的影响下,对三个性侵罪犯中的少年持宽容的态度;其次,露茜在遭受性侵后,她的创伤心理带着抑郁心理状态,从而放弃了报警,放弃了自己的权益;最后,露茜所处的新南非,种族隔离制度已经废除,黑人当家做主,这迫使露茜接受新的社会关系,融入到黑人家庭中,放弃追究自己所遭受的不幸,在农场的劳作中获得了新生。

The silence of Lucy in Disgrace is a hot topic for scholars to study the book and the author Coetzee.Lucy’s refusal of telling is based on ethics of care,and with this ethical view,she has been lenient with one of the criminal the teenager;her depression in response to the rape has resulted in her loss of her right,to be a victim and not to tell her experience to the police;in this New South Africa,she has to rely on the black man to live on the farm.
