同胞结构对农村男青年初婚年龄的影响

The Effect of Sibling Structure on Rural Men's First Marriage Age

基于CGSS2006和CGSS2008叠加数据,采用事件史分析方法,分析了同胞结构对农村男青年初婚年龄的影响。研究发现同胞结构对农村男青年的初婚年龄产生显著影响,主要体现在:同胞数量越多,农村男青年初婚年龄越晚;拥有兄弟会推迟农村男青年初婚年龄,拥有姐妹以及姐妹比例高则有利于提前农村男青年的初婚时间,计划生育政策实施后家庭同胞效应更加明显。资源约束理论和家庭融合理论可以解释农村地区男青年初次婚姻缔结时间的同胞效应。

Rural men born after the implementation of the family planning policy have entered the marriage market,while the effect of marriage squeeze is gradually obvious.Based on CGSS2006and CGSS2008data,and using the event history analysis method,this paper finds the significant effect of sibling structure on rural men’s first marriage age.The more the sibling size is,the later the rural men get married;having brothers delay the first marriage age,while having sisters,or higher proportion of sisters in siblings,is helpful for rural men to get married earlier.The effect of siblings is more apparent after the implementation of family planning policy.Resource Dilution theory and Family integration theory can explain the effect of sibling structure on rural men’s first marriage age.
