On the Changes and Problems in Chinese Reality Shows

当前,中国电视真人秀正呈现出非语言符号的强化、主持人的弱化与观众的强化、平民秀的弱化与明星秀的强化等三大变化,但这也导致电视公共领域消减、泛娱乐现象严重、内容原创不足等问题,需要引起足够重视。

In contemporary China,reality shows have shown three changes:intensifying of non-linguistic symbols,weakening of the host’s function and the catering to the audiences,and less show of common people but more of superstars.All these changes led to the reduction in the public sphere of television,abused entertainment and lack of the originality.These problems need to be addressed.
