Vocabulary teaching is the foundation of English teaching,as vocabulary is the most basic element of language.Combining with the prevailing problems existing in the current teaching,it is necessary to explore some effective methods to help students learn and remember vocabulary,cultivate students'interest in learning English and improve their learning efficiency.This article discusses how to effectively carry out vocabulary teaching from the teaching reality.It emphasizes the vocabulary teaching in the context,proposes to teach students the methods of word formation and comparison to memorize words,and also stresses the importance of timely review.
