摘要
尤苔莎与露塞塔是哈代悲剧作品中的两位特殊且颇具代表性的女性,从出场到退场,她们始终被排除在主流社会之外,饱尝孤独之苦。借文本细读与传记分析可以发现,哈代在早中期悲剧创作中对女性悲剧人物的孤独构建及变化主要从出身、性格、爱情、婚姻及社会环境几方面入手,而这恰与哈代在《还乡》与《卡斯特桥市长》创作前后的个人经历及生活状态有密切联系,所以,尤苔莎与露塞塔的失语人生是哈代敏锐的社会洞察力和深刻的自我剖析的产物。
As two special and representative characters in Hardy’s tragic novels,Eustacia and Lucetta are excluded from the mainstream society from the outset till the end,suffering from loneliness.With close reading and biography analysis,it is revealed that Hardy’s construction and changes in shaping female tragic characters mainly revolve around background,character,love,marriage and social environment,which are closely related to Hardy’s own experience and life status when he created The Return of the Native and The Mayor of Casterbridge.Therefore,the description of Eustacia and Lucetta's voiceless life is the outcome of Hardy’s sharp insight into the society and deep self analysis.
