Evaluating the Service Industries' Level of Modernization in the G20 Countries

从服务内容、服务质量和服务管理三个方面对G20国家1990年以来的服务业现代化水平和阶段进行评价,研究结果表明:2013年综合排名前3位的国家是美国、法国和德国。其中,服务内容方面,美国、德国和英国优势明显;服务质量方面,法国、英国和澳大利亚得分居高;服务管理方面,美国、韩国和日本列前3位。部分发达国家已经进入第二次服务业现代化的发展期,而包括中国在内的新兴经济体国家还处于第一次服务业现代化的发展阶段。中国目前处于服务业初等发达水平,经验量化估计其水平大致相当于服务业现代化国家30%左右的水平,尚未完成第一次服务业现代化。

This paper evaluates and analyzes the level and stage of service industrial modernization of G20countries since1990from three aspects:service structure,service quality and service administration.According to the results,in2013,the United States,France and Germany scored high on comprehensive service.For structural scores,the United States,Germany and the United Kingdom performed better.In terms of quality,France,the United Kingdom and Australia were the top three.The United States,South Korea and Japan were on the top in terms of administration.Some developed countries have stepped into the developmental period of service industries’second modernization,while the emerging economies,including China,are still in the period of the first modernization.China has not completed the first modernization,and is on the elementary level.Empirical quantification estimate indicates that its level is roughly equivalent to30percent of modernized countries in service industry.
