借用勒菲弗尔的赞助人理论,从共时与历时两个维度分析林纾的翻译赞助人对其译路走向与译作流传产生的影响。从林纾执笔翻译到停止翻译的24年中,权威人士、合译者、出版机构等赞助人对其翻译事业的起步、译作的选择与出版流传,均扮演了不可或缺的角色。

By using Lefevere’s theories of patronage,the paper explores diachronically and synchronically the influences of Lin Shu’s collective patrons on his translation orientation and work circulation.The concerted efforts of his many patrons including powerful individuals,his coworkers and publishers exerted an essential influence on both his translation career and his practice from the choice of targeted translated texts to the spread of the translations.
