基于隐喻能力培养的大学英语听力教学刍议

摘要 认知语言学观照下的隐喻是人类最基本的认知机制之一。现有研究普遍认为隐喻能力与大学英语听力呈显著正相关,并提出相应认知策略以提高听力。其实,隐喻能力与创新能力密切关联,隐喻能力培养应被视为应用型大学和创新型社会外语教学的一项核心目标。大学英语听力教学应以隐喻认知的体验性为基础,运用意象图式理论,并结合专门用途化大学英语教学改革,开发适合各专业大学生的多模态教学模式。 Metaphor in cognitive linguistics is one of the most basic cognitive mechanisms of human beings.It is generally accepted that metaphorical competence is positively related to college English listening,and corresponding cognitive strategies are proposed to improve listening comprehension.In fact,metaphorical competence is closely related to creativity.The cultivation of metaphorical competence should be regarded as a key objective of foreign language teaching in application-oriented and innovative universities.The teaching of College English listening should be based on the experience of metaphorical cognition,and apply the image schema theory and the reform of College English teaching with special purpose to develop a multimodal teaching model suitable for different major students.
