This paper introduces the background and history of intelligent car competition,and discusses the importance of comprehensive innovation ability of college students by analyzing the change and development of intelligent car competition of college students.It puts forward innovation ability training program of college students,including training professional team,stimulating the abilities of independent learning and innovation,improving teamwork and communication skills and training the ability of psychological adjustment.It points out that intelligent car competition can broaden knowledge and professional view of students and it is favorable for improving the comprehensive innovation ability of students.
