Study on the Spatial Philosophy of Miao from the Perspective of the Qiandong Miao Language of nangl and jes

苗族黔东方言中的空间词nangl(下游)、jes(上游)语义内涵丰富,其在苗语词义系统中的语义体现了黔东方言区苗族人对空间的独特认知。nangl是创世前的原初存在,是不需要创造的自然存在空间,是一切人、事、物的源点,而jes则是开拓和改造的空间,是一切事物运动的目的地,二者共同构成苗族生存和实践的基本空间,是他们空间哲学中的"宇宙"。

nangl(downstream)and jes(upstream),which are the spatial words in Qiandong dialect of Hmong,have various meanings.Their rich semantic meanings in reflect the characteristic spatial cognition of Miao people in Qiandong area.nangl is an antemundane concept of space,which is not required to create,and means the source of all things.jes is an un-antemundane concept of space,which is developed and reformed,and means the destination of the development of all things.These two words express the basic space of Miao people’s life and practice,which are regarded as the cosmic concept in their spatial philosophy.
