大学英语课程定位与模式思考

摘要 "大学英语"课在我国的高等教育中具有举足轻重的作用,其公共必修课的性质和大比重的学分决定了该课程的教学质量将影响中国大学生的培养质量。本文从该课程的目标、内容、教学组织和评价手段等四要素出发,直击目前大学英语课程定位的焦点问题,分析原因、探究解决方案。在课程目标方面,大学英语课既要培养学生的英语综合应用能力和自主学习的能力,又要提高学生的综合文化素养;在课程内容方面,要兼顾英语的人文性和工具性,让学生"用英语学习",教给学生智慧;在教学组织方面,要研究教师、学生、教材和教法,做到资源的高效整合与教法的适宜;在评价手段方面,要力求全面、客观、科学、准确。最后,本文初探了一种新型的以技能输出和内容输出为核心的大学英语教学模式。 The course of"College English"is decisive in China's higher education.Its nature of public compulsory course and number of credits make it influential in the cultivation of Chinese college students.From the elements of course objectives,contents,teaching organization and appraisement,this paper focuses on hot issues of college English positioning,analyzes relevant reasons and explores solutions.In the aspect of course objectives,college English is supposed to cultivate students'comprehensive applying ability and autonomous learning ability,as well as improve students'cultural qualities.In the aspect of content,it is supposed to be of both humanity and tools,making students"learn in English",and bestow wisdom on students.In the aspect of teaching organization,it is supposed to study teachers,students,materials and teaching methods,effectively integrating resources and choosing appropriate teaching methods.In the aspect of appraisement,it should be comprehensive,objective,scientific and accurate.At last,this paper explores a new teaching model for college English,which is output-and content-based.
