程端学为元代著名学者,其学宗程、朱,勤于治经,是东南地区著名的《春秋》学家。其治《春秋》力主明大旨,反对以凡例褒贬释《春秋》,并提出大、小属辞比事之说,以不惑传注、勇于疑古而著称于世。程端学的《春秋》学思想体现着鲜明的时代特征,对深入研究元代的经学思潮具有重要参考价值。

Cheng Duan-xue was a famous scholar in Yuan Dynasty,and his philosophy followed Cheng Yi and Zhu Xi.He was also diligent in studying their classics.He was a famous scholar major in studying the Spring and Autumn Annals in southeast China.He advocated the deep-understanding of the esoteric of the book.He enjoyed great reputation for he had the courage to question the obsolete doctrine.Chens’chunqiu theory embody the distinct time feature,which is of the great academic importance to our study in Yuan’s classics culture
