摘要 [目的/意义]大数据时代的来临对传统纸媒的生存与发展造成了巨大的冲击。媒体互融和"智库化"成为今后纸媒发展的大趋势。做好纸媒的转型工作,不仅是我国纸媒行业面临的重要挑战,也是建立我国特色新型智库的重要契机。[方法/过程]在全球纸媒"智库化"转型的过程中,英国《经济学人》集团一路高歌,成为顺利转型的一种典型模式。本文对经济学人集团旗下EIU(经济学人智库)的基本特征进行了简要的总结和分析。[结果/结论]阐述了这对我国纸媒"智库化"转型发展带来的几点启示,并结合中国国情,提出了建议措施。 [Purpose/significance]The application of big data has taken great influence on the existence and development of the traditional print media.And the media integration and the transformation to the think tank became the future trends of print media development.Therefore,the transformation of print media was not only an important challenge for media industry in China,but also an important opportunity to establish a new type of think tank with Chinese characteristics.[Method/process]In the process of the transformation of the global print media to think tank,the Economist Group was considered as a successful example of accomplishing its digital transition.Among all its products,the Economist Intelligence Unit(EIU)was labeled as the world leading‘think tank’of providing forecasting service.Thus,this paper would take EIU as an example to study and analyze deeply.[Result/conclusion]This paper demonstrated some enlightenments to the transformation of Chinese print media by analyzing the most significant characteristics of the EIU operation.Finally,it proposed some suggestions and solutions according to the Chinese specific situation.
